Calvin Schrage is Executive Director at Frontier Tutoring, the largest Alaska-based test prep and tutoring brand. Calvin has lead Frontier's Business Unit Managers and has overseen all operational functions since 2016. Calvin started his career at Frontier Tutoring in 2015 as a Business Associate in Frontier Tutoring's Emerging Leader Program - a unique internship opportunity designed to provide broad business exposure and experience by rotating through multiple work assignments and functional exposure opportunities.
Calvin holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Calvin currently serves on the board of directors at the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce where he co-chairs the Municipal Activities Committee. Additionally, Calvin is an active member of the Abbott Loop Community Council having previously served as a board member, treasurer, and as chair of the Roads and Projects Committee.
In 2015, the UAA Accounting Club board of directors unanimously awarded Calvin the Most Valuable Club member award in recognition of his many significant contributions to the Club and steadfast support of their mission. In 2019, Calvin was a finalist for the Alaska Young Professional of the Year award. Nominees demonstrate a pattern of leadership and civic engagement, while creating a positive impact in their workplace and community.
Calvin is passionate about the potential for Alaska businesses to impact our state's people and economy. Calvin is a private pilot, and outside of work, enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, flying, and enjoying the Alaska outdoors with is wife, Heather.
